There are many various skin problems that can occur to someone. One of the more common skin problems is eczema. Usually, people relate the symptoms of eczema with dry, itchy and flaky skin. There are basically 3 common skin problems that are often mistaken for eczema. They are psoriasis and rosacea.

Psoriasis is often common among adults than children while eczema usually occurs in children. Psoriasis is also often linked with environment related irritants and the difference between symptoms of eczema and psoriasis is the redness in skin which is seen in small blisters or raised red spots.

Another way to differentiate the symptoms of eczema and psoriasis is the connection with diet. Eczema can be triggered by an allergic reaction towards certain foods whereas psoriasis is not known to be linked to any food allergies. Try removing foods that may cause eczema and observe the symptoms for at least two weeks to help determine which food may be causing eczema. Another way to determine the symptoms between psoriasis and eczema is to get the dermatologist to diagnose your condition. Prescription medication is often required to get the condition under control and relieve.

Rosacea, on the other hand, is a seriously chronic skin inflammation can be unpleasant and may result to skin damage. Often more common in women than men, rosacea can be treated more effectively with prescription creams and medication than over the counter products. People affected by rosacea need to avoid excessive sun exposure and symptoms are aggravated in some people by certain foods.
