How to avoid acne seems to be a very important question especially for adolescents and many adults that are facing the acne problems. Rather than treating them when they attack us, the easiest way to simply treat acne is by avoiding getting acne in the first place. So here’s some of the simplest ways to avoid acne
- Keep your hair off your face. This is because our hair has natural oils and when this comes in contact with your skin, it can cause acne breakout. Try keeping your hair short around your face.
- Keep your face clean by washing it twice a day. Do not scrub hard as this will irritate your skin. Remember to wash your face with a gentle cleanser
- Drink plenty of water. It is recommended to drink at least 8 – 10 glasses of water a day as water helps to detoxify your body.
- Exercise daily because sweating helps to cleanse our pores
- Eat a balance diet. Take plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and try avoiding oily food.
- Take note of what you eat especially when breakout happens after that because your skin might be reacting to certain food
- Try to have the least contact with your face. Our fingers contain bacterias that may cause breakout
- Stop popping your pimples as this will only help to spread the bacteria to other parts of your face
- Use only natural cosmetics or better still do not use any cosmetics
- Stay out of the sun as sunshine causes the skin to produce extra sebum which causes acne
- If you are wearing glasses, remember to keep the part of the glasses that touches your skin clean.
